(吃)喝玩乐：槟城红帽姐妹炒粿条
红帽是她的标志，也是她的品牌。好多美食家如林金城，就曾提过槟城Lorong Selamat的这档炒粿条，好像若没吃过红帽姐妹的炒粿条，就不算吃过槟城的炒粿条。过去几年来，我多次在槟城寻找美食的过程中，都没有缘份吃到这档的炒粿条，很多时候都是来早了时间，结果反而吃到刘荣和茶室那一流的红豆冰。
前天到槟城办点事时，终于完成了我的心愿。若你问我味道如何，我只能告诉你，它属于“一般好吃”的等级，而我的太太则一再重提那三只鲜虾是多么的美味大条。
关于那顶形状特别的红帽，我之前还以为那是特制的帽子，后来在该档口对面的商店里，看到糕点师傅戴同样的帽子，才知道那是当地很普遍的一种工作帽。

In Jalan Pasar,KL. There is one char kwai teoh also very very nice. it is opposite a chinese temple named `Tai Kong' Temple, corner coffee shop.
Operated by a lady, the kwai teoh only come with prawns, no fish ball slices as we always found in other places.
It taste GOOD!.
hi, whoever told you there is "the best xxx" is probably a lousy food commentator. in penang, you won't find the best 炒粿条 because it really depends on your preferred taste. some people like the ah pek's (just opposite the one you mentioned here), some prefer one of the 4 heavenly king, some preferred the 4 rothers in bukit mertajam and etc. just like asam laksa, there are so many in penang, you just need to find the one that suite your tatse best. honestly speaking, all of them are equally good with unique cooking style, i.e. use charcoal, pig oil, duck egg and etc.
by the way, please stop eating instant noodle, and avoid them at all cost. processed food is not good for your body, :)
you can easily make friends with penangite, just go and talk to them and they will give you a long list of where and what to eat. hope you have a pleasant trip to penang next time. good luck!

hehe..truth, each place has its own Char Kwai Teoh King or queen. it depends which taste u prefer.
me, think i will go to DAP Cafe for a char kwai teoh fix this weekend!!.

dt eat too much fried foods..in fact dt eat too much is better.
one of my friend in Sungai Petani who only eat once a day even he is now in his 60s but looks liked 40!!..and don't even needs to sleep much as he is awake even at 2am doing social works..
